    27 Pro Max

Picked up one in a trade , ran it this weekend . Was real windy and couldn't really air it out but this thing pulled like a freight train to about 75 .

Yep- I’ve had 1.62 and now 1.75’s. Own a 26, 28 and 30 Promax and they all pull incredibly hard.

I have a 28 and a 30 with 1.75s. They holeshot and pull as well as any prop I have run on my xb21 for sure. Still trying to get quicker

I had a 30 with the Robbie Patterson flare couldn’t stand the hole shot. Sold it. But yeah I agree they pull hard in the mid range. I bought another one 30 pitch this one has an early Robbie Patterson flare on it hole shot still not very impressive. Where I use my boat I don’t have time for the big RPM flare and the boat digging a hole. So this one I worked with more. It has 8 PVS holes I put small PVS plugs in the outer most holes and large plugs in the holes closest to the gear case. This helped a bunch. I still get an RPM flare to 5100 but the boat is moving forward with a lot less bow rise. I still think I can make it slightly better if I put in 2 medium plugs closer to the case. I have a Bravo XS that works better all the way around and will run within 1 or 2 mph of the promax.

I ran one earlier this year and it was a monster up to 80! Best topend was 86.2 but would run 83-84 very easily and quickly with my 1.75's
