    Retractable tie downs.

I am on my 3rd set of these Walmart junkers, these were bought in Aug and one has stopped retracting. I also tried a set from BP a few years ago that weren't much better. What are you guys using that last?

    Thanks

Boat Buckles on my current boat, guessing they have been there since new. Put them on my last boat when new and were still good 12 years later when I sold the boat.

    What brand are you using?

x2 for the Boat Buckles. They make the regular and SS models. Never had a problem with either model. I release the tension off the stern and bow straps when the boat is just setting. Don't know that it does any thing for the straps or boat, but I figure it can't hurt anything?

Another thumbs up for Boat Buckles. My boat and trailer are 17 years old and original Boat Buckles still going strong with absolutely no problems.

I use Boat Buckles. On the occasion that someone else tightens them I notice that the tendency is to severely over tighten them. That will lead to failure pretty quick. They just have to be snug.

Boat Buckles. Mine are 7 years old and work flawlessly. I fish fresh water so did not spring for the stainless version.

See if squirting some WD-40 into it doesn't get it to working again.

+1 Mine got a little stubborn about retracting after a few years. A good shot of WD-40 made them like new again.

SS boat buckles for me as we fish brackish water. Man it sure makes unhooking so much easier.

+Infinity for Boat Buckles. I tried the cheapo's from Walmart and BPS branded one. They suck.
