    Per Pat Goff:

    Your true thoughts...on Champ 202/203

202 is faster, dryer, and handles better/easier than a 203.
203 has a little more rear storage, and tips a little less at rest.
Both are very good boats, get whichever you like.
If you just have the need to pass tritons and skeeters without a lot of effort, then the 202 will do it. 203 is going to be a little more of a struggle.

Model years were 98-2006. Skipped 2007, but brought back as limited edition in 2008. Very nice model!

Great boat. VERY heavily back-weighted. I doubt you can get powerpoles off the back without it looking like you are 45 degrees tilted. I have a 203.. wonderful boat. A bit narrow but rides nice, heck i have it paid off and have no issues.

Loved the ride and handeling of the 203’s so much I bought a 2008 Cat Cougar AE which was as close as I could find at that time in a production boat that would run great with a 225 with more room inside. I wasn’t a fan after they moved the gas tank under the seat in the TN models. That just killed the performance of them to me.

Never had any complaints with how mine sat... dual 12’ talons.

I have had my 2000 model 203 since 2002. Just had the motor rebuilt. I have no complaints. It has battled Toledo Bend many times and won.
