Nice work by the CHP crew.
I wonder what the charge was to rescue him. I only ask because I carry a Delorme Inreach satellite communicator with 2 way messaging. I hunt in areas with little to no cell coverage and know that if I hit the SOS button for someone to come get me due to injuries, etc, it will cost me $$. If I need help but not life threatening, I would get a hold of my GF and have her give my location to the VT F&S or whoever to help me. I turn on the tracking feature and my GF can see wherever I am on a map. She told me the other day that it looked I didn't move for 5 hours. Told her I sat in the same spot for that time and not to worry unless the spot on the map doesn't move and it's been dark for a few hours!! I always let her know if I'm delayed and it's getting dark.

Great rescue. Those CHP guys are damn good at it.
Some sick flying right there
Wow!!
Winds on the coast are always blowing, and he held the chopper right in place.
