    Fortrex 112

    While fishing today I pressed down on the button on top of my foot control to move an it stuck I had to finish the day by turning the speed dial up an down an turning the momentary switch off an on I took it apart when I got home An their is a small fuse like thing under the button that’s wired directly to the control board does anybody know if you can just replace it by spicing a new back in its place ???? Has anyone had this problem??? Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks

    It’s not a fuse,it’s a reed switch that reacts to a tiny magnet on the bottom of the foot switch. It may have gotten moved too far up so it stayed in constant on. Try moving it down about 1/32-1/16” and try it. But I don’t think the reed is replaceable by itself. John Jones can tell you more tomorrow.
