Cabelas not the same with BPS influence

Sad to see the quality items vanishing on Cabelas website, replaced with “Redhead”, “BPS” brand. For higher end clothing and gear I always shopped at Cabelas. Now when you log on to Cabelas there is not much distinction from BPS. The hunting clothing section has about 25% of what it used to and half of that is redhead brand

Cabelas is done, put a fork in them. Just like Sears, they will start closing stores and selling properties.

Went in to the local store the other day and it was mostly BPS stuff. Hunting section was tiny as well.

Both of the stores are terrible. But hey, they got candy and snacks. Because that seems outdoorsy !

This is the reason I now buy most of my hunting stuff from Roger's Sporting Goods. Hate to say it but Cabelas was going downhill before bps ever bought them out....

I used to defend BPS, but now I have to say that their stores just absolutely suck. No variety since everything is their brand, ok they do carry 2 brands; but not enough choices. And their prices suck.

Why didn’t management keep the identities separate? Cabelas is turning into another BPS outlet. No high end hunting clothing/ predator/asat camo, etc....high quality items gone...poof! Just basic retail crap

Cabelas has been in Raleigh about 3 years, have never really been impressed with them the times I have gone in.

Junk and shite.. Then who is buying the shite? Obviously, we don't see whomever is buying the shit at BassPro/Cabelas, why not get these same unseen folks to "Grow the sport"? Win/win.

Wife and I stopped in BPS today to get my little grandson a BPS hat. She found her a few things and i bought several baits that are hard to find and out of stock online. We were pleasantly surprised. Even noticed they are stocking some brands like Roboworm now.

Parking lot and checkout lanes were full.

I liked the influence before BPS as well. I'll still run there when an emergency arises as its only 10 minutes away. Most of my business goes to a local shop and TW.

To the OP, I couldn't agree more.
Been saying it for a while now.
First noticed back in the summer(when it should be out) trying to line up some new goretex and late season camo.
If you go there as a bass guy/fisherman, you'll be happy, as hunter, not so much.
