Hey guys. I will hopefully be joijing the basscat family next week. I will be buying a puma in the years mentioned. I am going look at a 2012 on Monday that I hope to get. Anyway, does anyone know if a helix 10 mega can be flush mounted on the console or mounted with a bracket on the console. I would prefer to have it in front of me rather than on the side. Just not sure if it will hide any bushes. Thanks.
My 2012 had an HDS12 in the dash so a helix 10 should fit. It will for sure fit mounted on a Sherm’s mount or something similiar

The newer dashes do fit larger units. The dashes have changed multiple times to accommodate larger graphs as they grow, so have consoles. We don’t think anything before the newer Cafe’ consoles (2012) will fit and the 2015 models are more likely.

You can RAM mount it or use the Bass Boat Technology mount, or the Kong or any of the others

I have a 2011 and it has the smaller windshield. It came from factory with a 998 flush mounted. I put a piece of Lexan plastic in the dash, and mounted my 998 to the factory bracket a little higher up so it it all above the wind shield. Lots of aftermarket options as well to do it directly in front of you as well.
Van @ Bass Boat Technologies can be your friend here when mounts are concerned.
On my 2011 I went with a Bass Boat Technologies mount for the Helix 10. Works great.
