According to the inflation tables, you can drop down to 60 psi and have a 3110# rating. 45psi still give you 2540#. 35psi give you 2130# per tire. Doing this will significantly increase the comfort of your truck.

The 265/75r16 will require about 10psi more than the 285/75r16 to carry the same load and the right will be correspondingly worse.

What I do is match the factory load capacity in the front due to the heavy diesel. Then I derate the rear to where I have about 2000# of load capacity over the empty weight which is enough for normal loads.

The tables are here. This is from Toyo but these tables are consistent across brands.

Now I get what you are saying, current plan is to order some Michelins 265/75/R16 and run them somewhere between 45-55. Thanks for your recommendations !!!

Don't guess. That link gives you the calculations to do to get the actual exact tire pressure for your truck. I don't think 265/75r16s are going to allow you to go down enough to make much difference. There are thousands of trucks just like yours running around with 285/75r16s and zero rub. I'd buy those and not think twice.

I personally run Cooper HT plus 285/60/18 on my truck... They're not a 3/4 ton rated tire but I never run my truck at max load... Rancho 9000 adjustable clicker shocks. You could also remove some rear springs and install air bags them you could pump them up only when you have a load. You should be able to "customize" your ride by doing this.
