Worlds easier to back my 3/4 ton in.

Whip into the spot i'm backing into, and I will just keep coming back, let me know how that hitch feels in your door.

Not really, why don’t you explain what he means since you seem to be in the know.

post #136 would also like to know what/who he’s referring too. Are these supposed to be white trash, black people, what kind of people wear the hats backwards and have baggy jeans? Cowboys?

Air Force trained us to back into parking spots so you could pull straight out if you needed to respond to something. Used to get pretty pissed if you pulled in, back in the day.

It's against the law in several Florida counties to park backwards and more than 20 people were ticketed this past weekend. The people ticketed this past weekend while in Dunedin had no idea that it was against the law to park the other way. Adding to the confusion evern further was the fact that there were no signs posted regarding the policy.

pretty sad when the convenience of the officer is more important than the safety of the civilian

Hell they park sideways here all the time, never realized that meant they were good, just thought they didn’t give a crap!

Way I see it there's nothing wrong with it as long as the driver signals their intentions. Then it shouldn't matter if they drive in or back in, they've let you know they aren't passing up the space.

Its easier to back into a spot with the truck. Plus, the same people that ride your a$$ in a parking lot, then are in your trunk while you are trying to back into a spot, are the same that like to do 30mph in the parking lot while you are trying to back out. So why would you be soo concerned what they are doing? Are you riding their a$$ while they are just trying to park? Sounds like that to me.

I'm not in the know other than I know that I didn't see the post about the sagging pants and backwards hat mention anything about ethnicity. You inferred that by your comment. I've seen people of all races/ethnicity's wearing this type of clothing so I took for what it was and never saw a remote possibility of ethnicity being discussed. I guess I just don't look for things like that in every little comment made. JMHO

I make sure I'm in skinny jeans and wearing a flat bill hat when backing into a parking spot. I am in baggy jeans and turned hat when pulling forward into a parking spot and my blinker fluid is always topped off. Oh and no more then 2 hits on my joint prior to leaving my homeless camp . Carry on will be in the AO for the day

You leave yourself an out it's the same reason most delivery drivers always back in. They don't want you backing up and possibly hitting something or someone you leave yourself a better out if you back in that way you can pull straight out.

Not ethnic at all, just observation.

I normally pull forward into parking spots in my truck. Except at the grocery store. I find it easier to use the back bumper to push all the shopping carts left by stupid, lazy shoppers out of the way.

Safety. it has to do with driver focus at the time of parking.

I have tried this and I still get dings on my Door. I know when I pull in to one of the closest spots at the grocery store, People walk 12 inches from your back bumper when you are backing up to go home.

I prefer backing in because there is much less chance of a fender bender when you are leaving that spot. I've driven a company car for decades and one company had us go through some driver training for insurance purposes. They suggested that you back into a spot. 1. Because you can look in and see if anything is in there. 2. Because when leaving you can see oncoming traffic most of the time. It's just plain ol safer that way so stop crying about safety.

The main problem is someone is always tailgating. Then they are the ones that are upset
