Angled parking must render some of you catatonic.

Bad spellers of the world untie!
I back in because I want to
i have a double cab longbed truck. if you dont back in some spots you are not getting out of that spot
Depends on if there are any cops around with nothing better to do.

I back in because I have a camera and can see how close I am to cars
there are some local schools, colleges and businesses that do not allow back in parking. Not sure why and always thought it was interested. I know one local college actually tickets you for it as we have to go there a few times per year for CE classes.
HA HA.....I have a backup camera too, but even not using it, I can still see how close I am to cars...
The only time I do use it are:
1) when hooking up to a trailer
2) when I am in the spot and want to get as close as possible to a vehicle or structure without hitting it....and I mean within a couiple of inches

I understand it is safer pulling out but it is more troublesome backing into a spot. I'll pull through if possible but I am not backing into a spot especially if there are cars on both sides. Been parking this way for over 25 years and have not had a problem.

Suppose your battery dies, it is easier to jump with the front near the lane. most cables are only 6' long or you may need to be towed out. Those are the reasons I generally back in you shouldn't be following so closely.
I back in cause it safer - people so impatient that they will drive right by cars when backing out of spots
So after all this discussion. This past weekend, 4 times I had someone back OUT of their parking spots and almost hit me. I think they couldn't see, due to vehicles next to them blocking line of sight until they were almost all the way out of their spot. I think I will continue to back in. Seems safer.

Some vehicles have eliminated the need, like mine.
Back up camera with cross traffic alert and automatic braking.
However, I tend to do it anyway, depending on situation.
FWIW, we have a mix of spaces here in my area.
Parallel, back in only, no back in parking, optional, etc.
You always have to read and study to park.
Its called Combat Parking where I work at and is the recommended practice.
Backing a truck in a spot bothers you? Jesus man get a grip. I always backed my 250 in a spot, the bed wasn’t hanging so far out.
A little ironic guys will stand in the middle of lake on a boat fishing a weightless senko all day, but can't wait less than minute for someone to park.
