Could any of you give some input on a Shimano Chronarch MGL? I would appreciate it. I've only had Daiwa and curious as to how it compares. Thanks

I really like them. I have 2. To me my metainium mgl isn't that much better
I actually prefer my chronarch to my metaniums and all my Daiwas.

In that price range I would pass on the chronarch and try a curado dc. From watching the reviews it will definitely out cast it
It depends on what profile and weight you prefer , the dc is a lot heavier .
Or a bantam mgl. I’m trying to decide between the Chronarch mgl and the Bantam mgl. I have Daiwa SV103 reels now.
I agree with this. I think the Curado DC is kicking tail in the casting department. But if you're looking for lighter weight low profile for flipping / pitching, go with the Chronarch. I'm having a very hard time deciding if my next purchase will be the Chronarch MGL or the Tatual SV TWS. Love them both after testing out my buddies gear lol.
Bantam MGL. One of the best offerings in a very long time!

sorry to hijack but which one is smaller to palm, bantam mgl or chronarch mgl?

How is the feel of the Bantam with that funky side plate? I’d like to get my hands on one.

First off,
To the OP, the onky issue you will have with the Chronarch MGL is that the braking system is not near the same as the magnetic system you’d be used to with a Daiwa. I prefer Shimano but have to say Daiwa’s braking system is very very good. It’s easiky the only thing I like about Daiwa.
Other than that, my opinion is the MGL spools are just as manageable as the SV spooks are form daiwa. I don’t think you’d be disappointed unless you’re trying to compare this to a new Steez or something.
As for the highjacks. The Bantam is more compact than the Chronarch. It’s not as long but might be close to as wide.
I dont have an extensive Daiwa line-up the T3, Tatula, SV105, Tat SV like the T3 the best. Not one of those I'd purchace again over a Chronarch MGL.
Love my Chronarch MGL. Incredibly smooth and really an enjoyment with which to fish.
