    1997 20XD tachometer settings?

    Can you guys tell me what yalls tachs are set at on the back side of your tachs I'm running a 225 yamaha hpdi and yamaha told me it puts out 12 poles but my factory tach doesnt have a 12 pole setting on the back. Im just not sure where it should be I called bullet today and they told me to simply google tach settings and switch it to those settings on the back. Any help would be appreciated. My tach works perfect up to 4000rpm but wont move beyond that.

    It's not a Bullet thing, it's a tach brand and motor thing.
    You may have to take it to a Yamaha dealer and hook the motor to a computer to get a proper reading, then match the tach to it.

    Well the reason I mentioned it I figured bullet used the same tachs for several years and I'm sure several people are running yamahas but not sure if it matters that its a yamaha and motor that puts out a 12 pole current should take same setting. I know the tach is original in this boat.
