Wow, 82 with a 200! You are beating most 200s by 10-12 mph! I take it that your engine is still stock. I bet it felt good dusting 3 other boats. Why power did they have?

You could make some $ betting on racing with guys at the ramp. A guy with a 225, 250, or more/same will think he could toast you, but you will smoke 'em and earn some gas money!

I was told the other day at one of the local Marine dealer that Xpress would not run with the glass boat. Just because I'm not the speed out of mind, still trying to get it set up. X21TS/Yamaha 250 hpdi with 10" hyd jp. 27 T1 worked and bb by Mark. Only running 75 mph/gps @ 5800rpm

i have been told that the x-21 want run with the x-19 far as speed but i dont know but with yours haveing a 250 i think if you keep working on the set up you could get in the 80s. you mite need to go up in prop size if that dont work i would just keep playing with you set up. when i got my x-19 it had a 25in prop and i could only get about 70-74.6 and i played with props and my jack plat and i found the rite set up and my speeds only keep geting better i runing a 28in prop and a 10in jack im thinking of geting a 12in jack and doing some mods to the motor and may be i can get 86 i would love it if i could.i can run 82.3 with my set up now

Bigger isn't always better. Make sure you ask the pros here and get a second opinion before getting a 12" plate. Oh yeah, you can get spacers (2") and try them. If they don't help or hurt your performance, you can just take them off and they are not too pricey. I think "kk4iz" has a heavier than average load in his boat abd that is costing him a few MPH.

2 inch setback spacers are $65 plus shipping right now at Bob's ... seems like that's less than I paid for mine a year and a half ago ....

Neil I think you are right. They were more than $65 a month ago.

I have a hard time believing that 200 hp will push that tin boat that fast gps.... I would need to see it for myself....

Re: those glass boys better look out (nosaj2)

You know, I bet a 200 cowl would fit a 225, 250, or 300. All the same Block. I really doubt he's turning a 28 pitch prop with a stock 200hp Yamaha hpdi at 82 gps. If he is running those number I would be money someone mislabeled that motor or put the wrong progam in it or something. But it would have to be putting out more than 200 hp.

Xpressblake, If that boat is running that fast, you need to hang on to it and treat it well, 'cuz it's probably one of a kind.

I think they probably got your 200 cowl and kk4iz's 250 cawl mixed up at the factory.

Re: those glass boys better look out (nosaj2)

I was born at night, Not last night. I know of a 190 skeeter/200 that does 85..... It has a 300 hpdi under the cowl, and phase kit I believe... This could be the case here. But I think these posts give others with the same rig unreal expectations.

i have checked it on 2 gps and they both were the same because i didnt beleave it. all i know is that she will fly and i have a good set up and what ever they did wrong to the motor at the factory is good because i love the look on other peoples faces when they have a 225 or 250 and think they can out run me and i smoke them and it makes me feel good
