I am considering going with POWER PRO on all reels and using fluorocarbon leaders in clearer water. There are a few presentations that it wouldn't work like POP Rs.
Anyone out there doing this?

Did it two years ago. Will not be going back. I love it.
You can censor my speech but not my thoughts or will
We are living in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so stupid people won't be offended
I did it with all except my cranking rod. Will never go back to anything else but braid to floro
1995 Ranger 481v
1995 Johnson Fast Strike 175hp
Straight PP on frog rod and all but one bottom bouncing. Hybrid line for topwaters and cranks. I don't care for braid to fc leaders
2024 Phoenix 818
2024 merc 175 pro xs 3B411947
I run braid on everything straight to the hook... Placed #2 overall in my club against a 2 person team
I did it years ago, except I use a mono leader on all but one rig (worm/plastics rig), that one gets Yo-Zuri Hybrid.
Zero memory, casts like a dream, the older and more used it gets the better it behaves, lasts damn near forever ... what's not to love ?

Almost all
30# on everything but the Heavy Punch rod; that has 50#
Not yet though I’ve thought about it. I’ve got a buddy that runs straight braid and catches plenty of fish even in clean water
years ago
For 12 years or so exclusively braid casting gear I have 10-15-20-30-40-60# test braids, on spinning I have 8# test.
Couple years ago I tried sniper fluoro in 10 and 12 just too much stretch. I then went to 16 # sniper the stretch of that is just bearable.
Oh and I dont use leaders even in water with 15' clarity.
What’s the secret to keep braid from digging in and causing a backlash on casting reels
Slowly converting to braid. So far frog rod straight braid this past summer. Rigged drop shot braid to floro and same for hair jig rod for a tournament this past Saturday.
On the way.....
ok Thanks guys . I'm going to do it. I have always used power pro but should I consider something else? Also 10? on Spinning 20 on casting sound good? What are your thoughts on leader?
I'm the exception by a long shot by using mono, but I fish a lot of moving baits and like the shock absorbing qualities that mono offers. I tried some of the Yo-Zuri Hybrid for leader material on on of my cranking rigs and the results were terrible - fish coming unbuttoned left and right. It was a new rod and I was losing confidence in the rod, but went with a mono leader and started pinning the fish solidly again.
Your fishing style should dictate your leader choice. Moving/reaction baits - consider mono. Jigs, worms, slower bottom contact baits - you may want to go with fluoro.
Try this knot, it's served me very well over the years.

I tried it, started to return to traditional lines but am going back to braid to leader. I wouldn't recommend power pro, however. I've had it last forever but swapped after my close friend's experience with it. Evidently he got a bad spool because his line popped on a cast and whipped him in the eye. Thought it was a backlash at first until later that day he retrieved a snagged lure and with the bait simply hanging from the end of the rod it fell off.
All of mine are spooled with braid, except for my jerkbait and crankbait rods. The rest are straight braid or braid with a leader
