    4 Blade Prop

I’m looking for a 4 blade prop. I have a 2006 Stratos 201 with a 225 HO Etec. Also has 6” jack plate- manual plate. Right now I’m running a 28 raker and holeshot is not what I’m looking for. I’m willing to give up some top end, just want to be able to able to get on plane. Thanks

Do you know what your true WOT rpm’s are? The Fury 4 and Bravo 1xs seem to be the top props for Mercury’s. I ran a Shooter and I think it was a Renegade on my Ranger with a 175 Intruder. Rpm’s will be really important and the 8 vent holes on the Bravo 1xs help get the rpm’s up on take off.

5600 on the tach. You think a 27 pitch would work?

My Phoenix tach was off by 800 rpms, and My Ranger was off by 600. I've read that most boat tachs are junk. If yours is correct, and you motor WOT max rpm is around 6000, You'll need to drop 2" to get 400 more rpm. At least that's what I've been told. Bravo 1xs are a little different. A 25 Fury 4 an 26 Bravo 1xs,run about the same on my 921 Phoenix.

If you don't have an engine monitor, to get correct rpm's, you may want to invest in a Tiny Tach. Buy one from the manufacturer and tell them what your using it on.

I guess it just depends if his tachometer is correct then. If it is, he’s probably okay just dropping 1” in pitch.

27 pitch what? A 27 fury will be as stiff as the 28 Raker and a 27 Bravo is really a 26 with cup added so you should be able to run it.

I have a 1998 Stratos 201 PE with a 2008 200 HO etec and run a 4 blade 25p Renegade. The hole shot is excellent, as is the cornering and running rough water. I don't care about squeezing every drop of top end. It will run in the mid 60's at 5500-5600 rpm, with a little peddle left. If you can find a 26p 4-blade, that should be very close to what you need.
