    Ultrex touch up paint

Well spot lock doesn't work well under certain bridges... Anyone know where I can get some touch up paint?

I've noticed mine will kick out of spot lock sometimes.. One day it works great then it goes thru spells of rebellion.. Like my ex..
Figured it had something to do with aliens blocking the signal.
I know it can get a little dicey at times ---like when I'm re-tying and it blows up on the rocks

The only time that mine has kicked out of Spotlock is when I was under a bridge OR there was a cable or the velcro strap under the foot pedal. Even something as thin as the velcro strap can cause it to kick out of spot lock. Mr Jones in the Trolling Motors forum can probably advise if there is a touch up paint to use.

Are you referring to scratching the head or the motor itself ? I had the same issue so I zip tied a heave rubber bungie together and stretch it over the head. Seems to work pretty good. I'm going to use some fine emery cloth and sand the scratches to as smooth as possible and then try to buff. As for the motor, same thing except then paint. HOWEVER, "If it ain't scratched, you ain't fishin close enough" !!! LOL

I've had my ultrex for just over a year now and the motor housing is pretty much 1/3 grey lol

Guess what I'm saying is if drywaller tried to keep his favorite drill clean and without nicks in it he'd go nuts.

It should not rust. A black paint pen works good for touch ups.

I've used Rustoleum Truck Bed Coating on my Minn Kota Maxxum, Fortrex and now Ultrex.
