OK guys help me out here. Is spending the money on some new seats going to be cost-effective enough To justify the expense to trade the boat in.

I doubt they will pay for themselves but might make it easier to sell. Depends on the condition of the rest of the boat.
Oh, you said trade in. If you really mean trading to the dealer I doubt it matters. They are not really giving what it’s worth anyway. The lot can’t since they have to sell it too.

Really depends on how bad the current seats are. I’d have to disagree slightly with the post above. A dealership will be much more inclined to trade in your rig if it’s clean with fresh upgrades/updates. Will be easier for them to move afterwards.

I just put new skins on mine from Triton. $400, don't know if that works for you though.
I would have to replace or reskin those before I felt right about moving it.
I've certainly seen worse but a boat with fresh seats always sells faster.

New seats are well worth it. I had a 2004 tr-196 for 13 years and I put new seats from bassboatseats.com for like $350. I believe it helped out tremendously in selling my boat. I now own a 2018 19trx Patriot
