Hook Puncture Repair Vinyl Side Panel

Project goal repair puncture to close to factory color and texture. Advise from (crank68) on repair kit.


Small hook puncture.


Repair kit purchased at a local auto parts.


Kit includes everything to mix a custom color to match. Also has a sample piece of vinyl to practice on. Used a iron to heat the finishing tool. The instructions were very detailed and easy to follow.


This was the final color I mixed. The color chart gets you close to the match. Finish by adding different colors to get a closer match. Note: younger eyes would have been helpful. Lol

Finished repair Color is close in match and hard to see. This should prevent any spreading of the damage and seal water out. Thanks to “crank68” for his help!

That hole was complements of the passenger rod storage? Next holes will be in the front/bottom of the seat. I hate that location for rod storage.
