light scratches on bottom of hull

I have some light scratches caused by the old trailer bunks when loading and also some down the keel the length of the boat. What is the best method to remove the light scratches without hurting performance? I have heard that waxing the bottom of the hull could affect performance.

Rubbing compound and buff out what you can and leave the rest.
