    Table Rock dates??

Since a lot of us come in on Wednesday or Thursday for the rallies can we entertain a Friday rally? We end up early in the year for the big lakes to try and avoid the rush and keep us from competing with club tournaments, graduations, family vacations, etc... Plus we need availability for us to find a place.

Ozark Mountain Trail is 3/9 so I'm told that wouldn't be a good choice. My partner's wife's BDay is on 3/16 so I need to avoid that. Last year the Big Bass bash was on 3/24 (400 boats) so assuming they stay with similar dates that would be 4/23 this year.

So we have the iffy date of Saturday 3/2 or if a Friday would work we could pick 3/15 and 3/29 with a Thursday evening meeting. We could maybe do 4/5 but I think that would be iffy for Chris who helps me set this one up (his anniversary and wifes BDay are next to that weekend).

    Just kicking things around. Thoughts?

It looks like Big Bass Tour was 3/24-3/25 in 2018 and will be 4/5-4/7 in 2019. That would open up 3/23 or 3/30 in 2019. Weather is always a toss up, all the way until May. Any of those dates would work or a Friday would work. Let me know if you need anything locally...we could do the banquet room at the bowling alley (RT's Family Restaurant) or find another place.

    I rather would fish April.
Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

A little cold weather didn't stop us last weekend. As long as the dumb fish will bite. Them are the only ones I know how to fish for.
    I wouldn't mind a Friday Tournie.

Use your mental telepathy and determine which one is going to be the coldest, snowesty, and windyest, and I vote for that day

That's a given, it'll be what ever date we end up choosing. Do we want 22 or 23 March? I can safely assume it'll be cold!

I may not deserve a vote since I've missed a few rally's but if there isn't a conflict with other events it's nice to fish Saturday and have Sunday to drive home and unpack and wind down from the trip. And the lake won't be crowded during a cold snap/blizzard on a Saturday that early in the year anyway.

Clyde would driving home on a Saturday after a Friday T not have the same soothing affect?

I would rather be too tired to go out and party on a Sunday night than a Saturday night, but maybe that's just me. You just schedule it on the day that suits you the best and we'll be there if we can. You're the one that does most of the work related to having these rally's and we appreciate you.

I think Russ has used good judgement in the past and it’s worked out, no way can you make it so there are no conflicts, and hopefully most can work around the conflicts if possible, I would be ok with a Friday tournament, as that helps with finding a spot, then going there Saturday, and another tournament guy or weekender is there, I know it free water, and anyone can fish where ever they want, most are there for Thursday night meal, so it might require 1 more day off work if you need 3 days to prefish, but for spring, just might be worth it, especially on popular lake like tablerock, and who’s against an extra day off work?

Come on Russ you know Clyde ain't going miss a Saturday night on a vacation. I tend to agree with tradition and say Saturday though. That being said I'll be there even if it's on a Wednesday. Would April 13 be to late ?

So if I pick an April date how many are going to say they can't make it because they have a club tourney? We have to figure out where we are staying. I want to move on from Schooner Creek. I want to make sure we have a place with availability if we go for April.

Priority for me to make this one as long as work does not get in the way again. Schedule it so i can put in for a week of vacation.

Been a few years since I fished a Rally and a Tournament out of Lazy Lee's ( about a mile from Schooners). I think we had 25 boats staying there and everything worked out great.
