Got a chance to get out between weather fronts this morning. Rained 2.5 inches yesterday and they were predicting some big storms later today, so I tried my luck on not getting wet.

When I arrived at the ramp the air temp was 73 degrees with a light North wind, and a misty fog. The lake was stained due to yesterdays rains. Water was flowing in from all drains. I was there about 20 minutes before daylight. And most of the bigger fish came before full light. 2 on spinner baits, 2 on buzz baits, and 1 on a clear chugger bait in the dark. After daylight I did catch one or two up to 3 lbs. In all I caught 12 bass. Several dinks. And for the most part it was general junk fishing. I caught fish on most anything I threw. Had one giant blow up on a hollow bodied frog, but it missed.

The lake was about 14 inches low, water temps were 72 - 75 degrees. Caught fish in 1 foot to 10 feet of water.

Better Luck Next Time !!!!
