    Kerr Lake Water Level

    MOST CORPS RAMPS ON KERR / BUGGS ISLAND LAKE ARE CLOSED! Due to Tropical Storm Michael and the extreme rainfall that fell on Thursday in the Roanoke watershed, lake level is expected to hit 314 ft. MSL by tomorrow. Currently (10/14/18) at 310.7.
    CLOSED RAMPS:
    BLUESTONE, BUFFALO, EASTLAND CREEK, GRASSY CREEK, IVY HILL, LONGWOOD, NORTH BEND, PALMER PT, RUDDS CREEK, STAUNTON VIEW.
    Island Creek is OPEN.
    Campgrounds are affected too: Rudd's Back Loop is CLOSED, lots of sites underwater and power is out.

    Currently 313.24. I don't understand that with Florence it only got up to about 309 and we supposedly had tons of rain, and with Michael I did not think we had as much rain. I don't live at the lake but I live near Richmond and we got about 4-6 inches of rain. Where as with Florence we got about 8-10 inches of rain

    We got anywhere from 5-10" right in the heart of kerrs water shed in about 3-5 hours. Everything ran off where as florence was more of a prolonged event over the course of a couple of days

    I could not imagine trying to launch out of Eastland. Be like it was in 89 my uncle and I launched on Pavement leading to boat ramp. Just Looked 313.74..

    The lake level has peaked. The 7-day prediction is 308. You may call 434-738-6633, press 1 for Lake Level info and 4 for Powerhouse Generation Schedule. Call the Visitor Center for park info at 434-738-6143, press 0 and ask to speak with a Park Ranger.
