Lost a lid on my livewell today

Does anyone know how much the livewell lid on a 21sdc cost? My partner didn’t lock the latch after putting a fish in the well this morning. Made me sick to have to fish the rest of the tournament with a lid missing.

Mine flew off last week ear at 85mph lucky it didn't hit the motor, did you loose it? Mine floated, just riveted it back on, call Tom, but you might want to sit down when you talk to him

I’m not sure where it flew out, we made about a 30 minute ride to another fishing area and noticed it blew off. Yes you would know it, with my luck it had to hit the motor cowling and put a good gouge in it!! Really sucks

Someone said there are straps you can get to put on them in case they come open while running, attach on the inside I think

I have lost six lids and put Bass Cats latches on my live well lids.
Since I did that, have not lost one lid. When fully opened the lids
are at approx 45 degrees, there is the problem. If they lay flat your
ok, should not fly off the boat. Have seen boats set up both ways.

My sf had hinges on the back deck lids that would allow them to lay flat. I wonder if that would help any.

It wasnt to bad to put back on. I’ve had practice riveting my other lid several months ago. Glad I didn't loose that one

If you get the lids that lay flat, the latches will leak! I had to change mine out on my new 22SF because i got soaked in January with full livewell.

Very interesting your lid flew off! I have a 21SS and I never latch my livewells lids. I usually run around at 77 to 84 never had mine fly open. Good to know though I’ll start latching mine.

you must carry around bigger fish than I do. One must of jumped up and hit it open lol

That is a weird setup they have on the SF. Sometimes it fills partially, sometimes its damn near empty when i stop. I have resorted to filling it and just closing the intakes afterwards. The damn livewell system on this boat has been the hardest thing to figure out of anything on it.
