What ribbon cloth for hatch handles?

My 2006 198 is down for a bit with livewell valve and pump issues. While it’s down I want to tend to some of the other “little” things that deserve attention after 12 years.

In regards to the ribbon cloth used for the hatch handles I am sure I could find a suitable replacement with a trip to a fabric store but I am wondering if anybody knows exactly what Champion used? Or, has anybody used anything else that would be worthy of a look?

    Thanks!

I just went to a fabric store. They had that strap in all sorts of colors. Cut to length you want.

There was a guy selling them on Facebook pre-made or might have been Texas fishing forum. You interested if I can find the link?

1” nylon webbing is what I used.

I used 1" black webbing from Wal-mart, I believe one package was enough for my 210. Very easy to do, I bet it took me 30 minutes to do them all, including burning the ends and using a hot screwdriver for the bolt hole.

Thanks, but all good now. Went to the hardware store and grabbed some 1” webbing.

Thanks to all for help on such a small issue.

I’m sure you know, but take a lighter to the end to keep it from unraveling.

A propane torch if you have one works better and you won't burn your fingers like I always do using a lighter.
