Buying an older Ranger without a motor

    Hey guys,

I haven’t posted on here in a while. I’ve been fishing for about 5 years and have owned one boat ever. It’s a 1990 390v. It was in very good shape when I bought it. It’s kind of run down now - it’s had a lot of time on the water in 5 years.

Anyway, I’m thinking of upgrading soon. Crazy question - is it almost impossible to find someone selling a 2000-2005(ish) Ranger without a motor? I’d really like to buy a brand new Yamaha SHO but I have zero desire to spend $70k+ for a brand new boat.

Not impossible but you’ll have to be patient and probably be willing to drive a bit.

You can always buy a boat with the motor and change it later on. I would just make sure it has a yammie on it so you wont incure any extra costs with rigging.
