    190 prov with 250xs

Just picked up a new motor. It's a 250xs 3L. Not the V8. First has anyone ran the 250xs on a 190? If so what prop were you running? I've gotta 26p Trophy I ran on the 200 I took off but it's in the rev limit pretty easy. Would a bravo or Fury work good? I've never ran either. Have always stayed with a Trophy or Tempest.

Bravo yes, Fury no. I'd find a 27, 28, or 29 TXP 4 blade depending on what lower unit gear you have, and I hope you have a Sportmaster lower.

Finally got around to a bigger prop. Think i went to big. About 300 rpm short of 5800. Can a prop be worked to gain that much or would the cost not be worth it? Holeshot was good, topped out at 82 mph but not turning enough rpm.

What prop did you run and what pitch? How did it handle. I have a 190 that I just put a 225 on and will be propping within the next few weeks. Any information would be helpful.

29p TXP. I raised the motor up to about 1/2 below the pad. Ive gotta torquemaster so i can only go so high with it. Handled good up til about 78mph then got a little squirley. Im gonna bring it up another half inch this weekend and see what happens.
