I-Pilot Reboot issues - WES and others... v1.830 & v1.840

I do not have all of the older versions of software for these units, but there is a warning now posted on the S/W release notes that was NOT previously posted.

I printed to PDF when I downloaded the updates = and this warning was NOT shown - so I would recommend to flash back (at you own risk), and reinstall v 1.83/1.84 as per the warning....

Just noticed version 1.83 and 1.84, anyone know the difference?

The site has all the current versions. You download and install the version that matches YOUR unit/s.
1.840 has MEGA software and is for G2N models that have MEGA or can display MEGA.

Version 1.83 was for Gen1 Helix models and Helix 5/7 models.

Thanks Robert. Got that email from HB and successfully restored 1.83 on the Helix 10. When I got a chance to connect the H10 with the Link, discovered the Auto Upload was On and wasn't turned on the H12 which was why it worked. I had already reverted back to 1.64 per our discussions. Seemed strange they put out instructions to revert back to 1.64 and yet tell everyone not to when I called and specifically asked that question on two different phone calls.

Well if it helps folks get their units to play nice it's all good.

I've got a fair collection of older software because of the folks I usually help out locally so if someone needs a copy and HB won't supply them with it - I've been known to send another user some files to help.

I think the only reason I got an email was because I called them twice. Originally called them on regular number and then remembered I still had a few months on HB Select and called again on that number. Otherwise, I'm just a nobody....LOL

Yep, the auto update thing has been known on here for at least a week now. Old news. :)

I specifically posted to help others that may not have read through one of many new software posts that do not specifically call out that problem.

Of course I try to help people with their units old or new, and that's old news too; isn't it....

Try to remember that the very next time you are going to post something whether helpful or not.
