2012 250 Pro XS Idle spiking

My 250 pro xs s#-1B962308, runs rough under 2000 rpm's and fine above that. As it sets in idle, the motor will spike in rpm's from 560 to 1000 rpm's. Has anyone experienced this, if so what was the cause?

    Thank you,
    EB

Yes. Bad TPS for me but it can be other things too.

Fuel and air pressure will need to be tested at the EXACT same time with two glycerin filled gauges.

+1... if no problems noted in pressures/leakdown, a Voltage Sweep Test of the TPS would be another item to check (while checking ALL of the Basics).

hey 06 SB, Did you change it yourself? Is that a plug and play or does it need to be programmed? Cost?

    Thx, EB

It could have been a DIY job (no programming required) but I was not sure what the issue was for sure. I ran it up to Don and he diagnosed it and fixed it.

You might want to consider having the complete rails checked and cleaned, I would if I owned it and had replaced 3 in 6 years, I would also replace the spring and cover as well assuming they are available inividually
