The boat was a chameleon, back then I played as much as I fished. The boat was perfect. Not sure what rims were on the truck. I remember 10" wide, it did look good. Broke my heart when a kid pulled out and totaled it at 226,000.

I have not been here on BBC for quite some time guys or I would have had pics of mine up already... I am getting close to getting it back in the water by sometime in June for the 1st time since I brought her home in late 2009... I will post more pics when I get it out of the shop and finally on the water!

These are old pics from the day I first had her wet in Nov 2009 before I decided to buy.

This is my 1986 ZZ880. I really like the boat, just wish the casting decks were bigger.

Re: Post Pictures of your WINNER (Phildo10)

I finally got this old girl on the water in July, and made a trip to Minnesota last week. here are some pics as of today... is anyone else running OPTIMA batteries successfully with one of the old un-regulated systems?! I am overcharging these batteries and need voltage regulation OR switch to old wet-cell batteries as I am told.

Good lookin boat there! You've done a fine job on it. I had blue top Optima batteries but took them out. Something was just not right, didn't seem to have the stay power, could be from what you said. Went back with grp 27 crank and 2 grp 31 for trolling motor. Heavier but I think on mine it is the way to go. Again I think you have a great looking boat. Love those seats, same as mine.

Re: Post Pictures of your WINNER (Pitch'ndude)

Thanks, she is a work in-progress... As for the batteries, I will not give up on them that easily. I will find a way to regulate, modulate or otherwise suppress that crazy old un-regulated system. Old technology is just that - begging to be updated. Sure wish I could afford a E-TEC 150 HO for this old girl, then she would really fly!

Yeah I know, I am thinking about doing a deck extension. Does anybody know if the consoles on the tournament boats are the same as the ZZ boats? I would love to get a couple of those lower profile wind screens. Where would I start to look for them if they would fit?

Re: Post Pictures of your WINNER (Phildo10)

Not sure where it went, but there was a posting here in the Winner Boat area with all of the details on our windshields?! You need to contact The Parts Mom http://www.bbcboards.net/zerou...20928 (user here on BBC) at: http://www.teamcandomarine.com/

As of a couple months ago they had some made and had them in-stock. Joey Bartolotti who had the 1st post in this thread got the whole thing started for us and I got a spare shield from him back in May... Hope this help!

Dude, That has potential. If the boat is solid, the rest is cosmetic..

Re: Post Pictures of your WINNER (slinkeey)

It is anything but solid. That is the problem. haha The decks are rotten and the transom has been snapped and repaired twice. I ply-wood'd up the front deck, and now I'm working in front of the seats... Trying not to put a lot of money into it. Just wanna get it fixed up good enough to go fishing. I'm not planning to keep the hull for very long. I would like to find a used hull in good shape and swap my motor over. Besides, a 200 Black max is too much for a 17ft boat.
