Took it for a test run Wednesday. I gunned it coming around the corner and wrung the prop shaft off at 63mph at 4,800 rpm. Lost my Tempest 25p. Luckily my mechanic had an extra used prop shaft laying around, and he had it put back together in no time. I bought a used tempest 25p from a local marine dealer. I could tell that it had been "fixed" a time or two, but I couldn't tell that one blade was 1/2 inch shorter than the other two until I mounted it and spun it. So I took it for a run again today, the new prop sucks compared to my old one. It doesn't lift the boat near as good as the old one, but it still pushes the boat to ~60ish where I promptly loose control to chinewalk. Guess I need more practice.
