Lower unit torque for a SHO

I will be dropping the lower unit of my 225 SHO and does anyone know the torque value for the 6 bolts that hold the unit on the motor? It seems its in inch pounds. Do I need to put the motor in gear prior to dropping the lower unit? I have a torque wrench that is foot pounds does anyone have conversion from inch pounds to foot pounds? Also does anyone have a video they care to share if its handy to get to? Thanks everyone!

12" in a foot. Divide X inlbs by 12. Can't help on the torque values, I'd like to know also.

6? there is more than that. Look under the adjustable tab that most people cut off and under a removable cover if I can remember right. There is at least 8 maybe 9 without looking. I have never used a torque wrench on a lower unit mounting bolts, so sorry but I am sure Yammi lists it. CJ
Oh and I always drop them out of gear.

Drop it in neutral. There are two "hidden" bolts. Lot's of videos on how to do this on YouTube. Can't help you on the TQ values...I use my arm tq calibrator.

The old German technique of Gutentight should work fine.
