Hydrotec Flash Stock Limiter vs Higher

I think it's time to get my SHO 250 flashed. I have a question about propping and the limiter.

Let's say I have a flash with the stock limiter and prop for 6200 RPM. Is this essentially the same as having the flash with a higher limiter and propping for 6200?

If so, why not just have them flash and up the limiter but just prop the boat to only hit 6200?

They make more hp at higher rpm. HP=Torque x RPM/5252. You can prop down for faster holeshot and use the higher RPM to maintain or also improve top speed.

The only reason I would leave the 6200 RPM rev limiter in place is if my engine was still covered by warranty and I did not want any accidental over rev codes showing up on the service read out. If no warranty I would definitely go with the 7000 RPM limiter, prop down to get around 6800 at WOT and let her fly!

Guess that answers that. My warranty is gone...
