    Looking for a stern light.

Does anyone have an extra or know where I can get a stern light pole that Gambler used around 2003? The socket is round and fits into a indention on the rear deck. The stern light would have to snap in verses using the locking screw in type. Gambler no longer sells the light and I can not find any of them on line. It seems everyone has gone to the standard screw in type light pole. From the looks of the socket the base of the pole would need to be off set instead of round. There is NO slack in the wires going to the socket so I would have to remove the trim pump, battery charger, vertical metal plate and maybe 1 or more batteries to get to the wires to change out to a socket that would fit a round base light. The socket is a Attwood. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks guys..

it comes in a kit, if they dont still make that style(doubt they do) you wont regret upgrading to the new style with the screw in piece...its alot more sturdy...
should not be difficult at all to replace the recepticle...

Just had that issue on an 04 2100. After 6 months I had to bite the bullet and change the housing.

I don't mind changing the socket except when Gambler rigged the boat they did not leave "ANY" slack in the wire. I can reach behind the metal plate that the trim pump and battery charger are mounted to and feel the banjo tight wires. If I blindly cut the wires there is still not enough slack to pull them out far enough to splice in more wire. To install a new socket I will have to remove the trim pump, battery charger, 1 or more batteries and the metal vertical plate that they are mounted to. You would not think it should be this difficult..Thanks guys for your replies..

Ordered a new light and base. Going to rewire to the console switch and leave LOTS of slack. Thanks for the input..

If you haven't changed your light socket yet I think I might have what your looking for. All I have is the pole, I used the top lens part when mine got broke on the light I use now but your welcome to it if it'll do you any good. PM me your number and I'll send you a picture of it.
