    Thrust Washer 250 HPDI

It looks like I may have just caught this in time !! I understand this is a common issue with the 2 piece thrust washer on a T1 prop.

I can see that the prop has started to eat into the lower unit slightly due to a worn thrust washer but it looks like it's just started to score the edges. Can I get away with this by just replacing the thrust washer?

They say it’s from not being tight enough. After an hour or two of run time you are suppose to try and retighten your prop according to the Yamaha experts.

That's what I've been reading lately as well... I'm going to replace the washer and make sure it's tight.

THIS IS FROM THE YAMAHA MANUAL propeller nut tightening torque 39.8 ft. lbs.,tightening,If the propeller nut slot does not align with the propeller nut to the specified torque, tighten the nut further to align the slot with the hole.
Hope this helps, I would check it often to make sure it stays tight. Good Luck
