    ALX Toadface Or Brawler

    Huge guys,

need some input. I am in the market for an all purpose frog/pitching rod. Is the toadface enough to throw 20 pound flouro as well as a frog rod when needed? Or is the 7 6 brawler the way to go for pitching wood?

    thanks

    Kyle

Yes on the Toadface for both frogs and pitching. I've not fished an actual ALX Toadface but it's built on the Hydra FL4 blank of which I've built many and have 2 I fish personally. Pretty sure the Brawler is the FL5. I've built a couple of those, one for personal use. I pretty much just use that for flipping. Tip on the FL4 makes it better for frogs but also a great jig/trig blank.

    Brawler is a MB916-NG cut to 7'6".

I stand corrected. Either way given what you want it for I'd still say the Toadface.

My buddy has a toadface and he loves it. I know that’s not much help, but if you buy it from TackleWarehouse you can send it back.

I only have 1 Toadface but I wish I had 5. In my experience with ALX's lineup, it is my Swiss army knife do-everything rod.

I have two ALX Expert Crankbait & two ALX Expert Swimbait rods that I am selling. They are basically BRAND NEW and either would be excellent from rods. I have them listed on Ebay and are listed at a 50% discount. I'd be more than happy to send pics as well. FYI, I love ALX rods and have 9 other ones!

Is it free return shipping on rods from tackle warehouse?

I believe TW sends a return label with your order.
If you order from us and need to return, you just have to call us to get a return label.

I have 1 Toadface and I use it as a all purpose rod. You can't go wrong with the name ALX on any rods.
