I have fished it. Its a really good lake. Has some big small mouth. I think they have to be 18inches to be considered a keeper. I have done good on worms and tubes over there. I have heard they will kill a spinnerbait after dark.

I have fished it a lot, but not so much the last 4 years. The last 3-4 years it has been heavily over-pressured due to Boone being drawn dawn below winter pool to repair the dam and a lot of the fisherman are going to PH instead. It is a small reservoir that fluctuates several feet up and down each day. Best bite is when water is being pulled from the lake and it is not filling up. Water to it comes from the bottom of Boone so it stays cooler longer during the year and most bass there do not even spawn until June. Really good topwater lake and good amount of 3-5 pound fish in it.
There are some big fish in it, but there are better lakes in the area imo.
