    2000 520vx value, blown 225 Opti

    Guy wants 13k firm, have not seen in person yet, has the hull colors I like. Would like to scrap engine and restore, does Ranger still do refurbs? Is that price in the ballpark, favorite Ranger. Boat is in Georgia. Thanks Mark

    Ranger refurb. will be several grand, plus trailer refurb. Add a new or used engine and it’s not a value. Only you can decide, it’s your money. Clean ones are high teens to mid $20’s. You will have that and then some in it when you are done. Look at my sig.

    That's too much money. You will have close to 30 in it when u put a new motor on it and have it refurbished.

    Usually find one in decent condition with a working motor for mid teens. They are great boats.

    Right now that guy has the problem of owning a not well maintained rig with a blown engine, don't make it your problem. Be kind and let him enjoy it himself. I wouldn't touch that for 13K.

    Way over priced. I picked up an 03 with 225 Merc EFI with 268 original hours(perfect running condition) last year for 9k. Gel was rough but she cleaned right up and looks new again.

    I wouldnt sell mine for that. But if i was in the market i would give that guy a call. Might be well worth the road trip.

    That one sold quick. I tried to delete this post, but I could use the help finding one. What is the next best hull? I owned several 360v -390v, do not know the later ones.     Got mine for 18000 2000 520 dvx but almost perfect condition and 56 hours on 2000 225 optimax.
