Check your local regulations on number placement. Also, clicking on the BCB photos thread at the top of the forum should show you several boat and number examples.

Luke. I had iguana graphix make mine to match the color on my boat. I don't have a close up but they are the silver color with black and raspberry red outline in all metal flake.

I believe that Daryl at Iguana also does the domed numbers. They are really sharp.

Pony up Luke and call Daryl at Iguana. Send him pics of your boat and he will color match the numbers perfectly!

I ordered mine through “Sign Specialist” online. I used their Aero Extended font.

Make sure you keep them flush with the flat surfaces. Mine are peeling after a month where they hit the curve under the gunnel.

Don't read the requirement about sharply contrasting block letters. All the ones pictured in this thread would be technically illegal in Ky. There was some message board talk about a ticket writing spree a few years ago around here for not conforming to the law. That being said, I'm ready to order some domed numbers myself, but will not stray far from that requirement.

I don`t think you would have any problem with any of these numbers. They can be seen rather well and can be read from a good distance. Yes, they match other colors on boat, but they are not located on those colors, which does create contrast.

Had the Coast Guard get on me because my numbers are not ‘block style’ and the year tab was on the wrong side of the numbers on one side. I informed him they had been that way for 14 years and would be the same next year. They did not push it so I will leave it for now. You should check what ‘proper’ is or run the risk of doing it wrong.

There is a standard of 1/2” width in one format and color, 3” height, 1/2” between each letter, and a space of 3” between the three identifiers and state registration decal. Three spaces in all should be the number.
