    G3 Sportsman 1610

I posted over on the G3 section but got crickets. Anyways has anyone bought one or been in one? I looked at the G3website on the specs. and pictures. Seems like a good little boat. Besides the rod locker (which I could probably get used to) I'm interested in it. I saw a CL add from a dealer that said $12,299 for the price, that's all it said. As I researched the boat I saw a boat trader add for one that was around $23k. Obviously add one and electronics can add up in a hurry, but can this boat be had for around $12k?

I'm not too familiar with G3 what their reputation? Good boats?

    Thanks for the input.

G3 has a fine reputation for a solid, well made boat. There is a G3 owners Facebook site that might be of help.

Just FYI, a year or two ago, I bought a brand new bare-bones 1652-VBW with a fine Galvanized trailer for under $6,000. Add motor, storage, remote steering, side-console, etc. and add it up.

Might want to check AK McCallum and see if they carry G3. They have some all-inclusive packages that will help in your research.

I am interested in this boat also . I have a 17 foot tracker style tin from 2000. All the new 17 foot tins are nearly 18 while anything smaller has very limited storage . As I fish hp restricted lakes the lighter weight of the 1610 is appealing . I didn't look overly hard but at the dime no one around had one in stock to look at .

A buddy of mine bought a new G3 last year. Quality is excellent. When Its time for me to upgrade my tin a G3 will be on the list of ones I check out.

Have never fished out of one. I have seen a number of the G3 bass boats on the water and they sit ass low bow high.

I bought a G3 Sportsman 17 w/ 70 Yamaha, back in February at our boat show. I love it!! It has performed great.
It gets on plane very fast. My fishing buddy loves how much room there is in the back deck to fish from. A couple weekends
ago I had 2 guys compliment how they like the width of my boat. They were fishing out of a Stratous FG.

Last month was coming home and got caught in a big rain. My compartments stayed dry!! I have not noticed any lean at all, as described above in thread.

The only thing that I will be changing is to get a bike seat for the front.
