    Fortrex not latching

Looking for some help to solve a little problem I'm having with my 112 Fortrex. When I let the motor down, it is not going down with enough force to push the pins past the stop and latch itself. Currently it requires me to put my foot on it to latch the pins.
Any ideas on what I can clean, grease, etc. to get it to self latch again?

Make sure some of the mounting bolts have not loosened and allowing the mount to twist. A twisted mount will allow the uni-arm to rub the side panels and not let it go down as it should. It will also mis align the lock slides.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just mounted the TM this Spring using lock nuts. Can't imagine they are loose but I'll check them and see if that's the culprit.

They may not be loose, but bouncing and wear may have "crushed" the glass making them loose.

I use a little dab of lithium grease on the latch points to help mine go down a little easier.

That and even if the bolts are tight, the mount might not be on a flat portion of the boat and ergo might be twisted.

    All good points.
I would suggest loosening the mount bolts to see if it will latch properly. If it does, then start tightening them down a little at a time to isolate where it might bind..Mine had issues like this.
Also a little lubrication in the right place is always good.
