Salt City's tournament series was posted many months ago. And this tournament has been going on now for the last 30+ years on last weekend of October.
Also, who knew the state was going to rebuild the state launch road on the south shore, everyone needs to share.

Went down to south shore launch. From 31 to the turn down by launch where it opens up the surface of the blacktop has been removed down to loose stone. Still passable with trailers in tow. Some guy with a Buick was doing at least 45 mph down the road from 31 and managed to traverse it just fine. I doubt they will be actively paving on Saturday so perhaps still doable. Mohawk please advise later in week which launch you’ll be using.

Ya...he is a real good guy, known him many years now. I fished that club for 15 years, started in the mid eighty's.....lol Than my job took that away.
Thinking about going back with the club again. (don't tell Tom...lol) Anyways, we keep the Brain Rayle a end of the year event going. Good Time.

Uh I've fished these fall opens in snow and 25mph west winds and had a blast but if that nor'easter is dropping an inch of cold rain and blowing 25mph out of east directly at oneida shores it isnt a question of "dealing with it". This is the worst weather for october I can remember
As of right now, Tom is watching this developing Storm very closely as well as a few of us others.
Things may change on this Sundays Event. I'll keep you all posted as fast as decisions are made. (Maybe have to re-schedule who knows)
And yes, it's been very poor October weather wise for sure.

Thanks for keeping us posted. I'm not sure what the deal is I'm not expecting picture perfect weather in NY during october but theres usually some nice days, a bunch of decent days, and a few horrible days. This year it's just crap every day! Lake blows east one day 20mph then west the next day at 20mph. Maybe the first few weeks of November we will get a decent fall day
supposed to be a few good ones from looking at the forcast around the 1st thru 8th
