looking at Garmin 93SV and or 73sv, which ducer?

buddy shot me a quote for the 93sv and the 73sv, (do these typically come with a transducer?)

GT52 is this one the tolling motor ducer?

He mention for a few more dollars getting these ducers as well?
    GT8 in hull? (and why?)

GT30 For the Transom/Jackplate (which makes me think the 52 is the trolling motor ducer)

just looking to better understand the details, i'll be new to the garmin side of things, thanks for the help!

The GT 52 will doe all 3 tradional, side scan and down vu... The GT 30 ( will do side vu and down vu) on the transome or jackplate so you can troll around see what is below you. The gt 8 in the hull you can get on plane up to certain speeds and still see images. The GT 52 can either go on the transom or trolling motor.

Adding, if you are installing on the boat that's below your post, In my opinion, i'd get the GT8/GT30 combo......otherwise the GT52 would have to be installed at bottom of pad to get a 2d reading while on plane. As for the Gt30, i'd also say look at the TSS brackets to install it on the jackplate......

Yes that is the boat it’s going on.

ok good deal, I can’t get a reading worth dang on plane in my current setup. So it would be worth getting that gt8/gt30 combo then.

so the gt52 will be perfect for my trolling motor then.

Yes, GT 52 wil work on the TM.....

I just did a complete installation of EC+ 93sv units on my boat.....it was suggested by Leonard that i get the GT15 for 2d.....it's higher wattage and thats what i went with......i'm impressed with it.......BUT the other main thing is having the ducer mounted in the sweet spot for readings at high speeds and if it gets put in the sweet spot shouldn't have any problems......i get digital depth reading MOST of the time up to about 70..........

And also if you want ultra high def then dont get the GT 30 and get the UHD setup. In the end its up to you.....

you have the same setup I have. are you getting a black box to network more than 2 transducers? That's is what I did.

you can network the 93 and 73 together with 2 transducers andno black box. If you need to add another you will need a black box.

With the two units and standard xdcrs all you need is the ethernet cable to connect the two......
