    Here is a pic

of how I used a simple 1/8 inch brass street tee to hook up both my Smartcraft water pressure data point and existing analog water pressure gage.
I had to purchase the sending unit to my to Smartcraft gage from my Mercury dealer shown on horizontal run.
The vertical run was already in place and all I had to do was remove hose bibb from engine and place in top of tee.
Cost was around $75 as I recall for sending unit and $6 for tee. I had Teflon joint tape already.
    My engine is 150 HP 4/stroke SN/ 2B54452 used for repower 1998 Triton TR-18.

Thought this might help someone. It was easy to do.

Dang the pic is laying on it's side. Try to see it turned 90 degrees to right so that it is vertical.
Sorry about that it is correct here but looses something along the way.
Again just trying to help and provide ideas.

Thanks for the pic. I’ve been thinking about doing that to mine so I can get the water pressure on my smart craft and the analog gauge.

    Good job!

There are a couple of other methods that can be used- this one is probably the simplest for a DIY'er to come up with materials for.

You're welcome and nice simple solution. Not that it matters a hill of beans, but I'd have used a 90° fitting on top simply because I dislike hoses doing a 180° turn if it can be avoided, but that's just me.

I just left that part of it as Mercury had designed and installed.
