Where does everyone have their Point 1 mounted? I going to install mine this weekend and I'm not sure of the best location. I know to check for interferences, but am not sure of the optimal location.
Thanks for any advice.

Do you plan on making waypoints with the bow unit or console unit??? If bow, mount on front where it's closer to the xdcr or rear is using read xdcr. With that said, i have mine mounted on the rear next the oil tank cap.

I have mine mounted behind drivers seat and works great.

Mine is also right behind the driver seat
Mine is mounted in the splash well on a mount that Wacky Riggers (BBC Sponsor) (rbarrow on here) designed. It is as close as you can get to the transducer for accuracy. I think it helps.
I put mine corner of the back deck driver side. On the crapet, I mean carpet.

Put mine on the drivers side back deck next to the step. Close to the rear transducer and out of the way. Easy access to the NEMA network if I need it. Set the console unit to use point 1 and TM unit to use internal GPS. Works for me.

I have mine mounted on a piece of delrin that is "Velcroed" to the boat using the waterproof 3m stuff. I have it right next to the port grab handle on the transom. I have the wire running in through the charger plug deal. No holes drilled and is about as close as you can get to the structure scan transducer.
