I just put a set in my 250 DI and I'm very pleased. I had other mechanical issues beside reeds but overall these things gave the old girl some great midrange punch. Heck, I got out of the hole with my 521, 2 guys, lots of gas and gear at 3/4 trim. I didn't even know it was trimmed that high till went to trim up!. It would have never done that before.

Have had a set in a 96 200 rude for about 4 years now with no issues. I think for the price they are unbeatable.

My CCM reeds are ready to go in. Note-you just cant bolt them in and go(well I guess you could).Prep work,,,,reed boxes where wet sanded on the sealing surfaces on a metal level machine bench on a sheet of 1/4 inch glass until smooth and level and reeds fit flush to the boxes. I used 220/400/600 grit in steps. Then all sharp edges on the boxes where the reeds seat where lightly knocked off. The reed stops where then addressed. The mating surface was sanded flat and square and the radius area where the reed hinges was smoothed to insure good transition and no nicks or defects to cause damage during operation. Outer edges of reed stops where also treated to the edges being knocked off where the reeds hit. Then they where where all assembled and torqued in 3 steps from center screws out to factory specs. Do not use the spacers/shims that where in the factory reed setup. I used loctite blue on the screws, lightly. Will install saturday and post results.

Are you getting forgetful? You have to mark the good ones, I do that, but I'm old.

,,,,and if anyone is following this and may try them, factory torque spec for leaf reed to reed block is 25-35 inch pounds and reed block mounting screws to intake is 60-84 inch pounds. (use Loctite 242 and Loctite Kleen & Prime on screws on leaf reed to reed block screws and reed box to intake screws/use sparingly because a little goes a long way)

Got it together and took it out this morning(quick trip/cold). Idles smooth and awesome(actually had to adjust idle). But the biggest thing I noticed is the "punch" it has from 2000-4000 rpm. The mid range is wicked!!!!!! Overall response is better as well. Gained about 200 rpm and 2 mph top end but that could be due to cool temps. Dont think I really gained any HP but does feel like a different motor now. No jetting changes/just at initial start up, I choked heavy to prevent a sneeze until warm. Love em and highly recommend them,,
