Fishing for Freedom Event at Truman Lake

i was honored and humbled this weekend to help with the 10th Annual Fishing for Freedom event at Truman Lake Missouri
    http://www.fishingforfreedom.us/

I got to spend the weekend in the company of 150 veterans and 150 volunteer boat captains to take the veterans fishing for a day.
it was a great event, over half the field weighed in fish. and the food that was provided was delicious.

my personal highlight was meeting and talking with Donald "Doc" Ballard and Vietnam era Medal of Honor Recipient.

this event is sponsored by the Leavenworth Bass Club, so i would like to give big shout out to them for all they do putting this wonderful event on.
if any one ever gets a chance to participate in one of these events i highly encourage it ,,

Truly a great event . Saw some of the pictures on Facebook before the launch. Really incredible to see all those boats on the water at once. The parking lot must be huge.
