Trip to Clear Lake

Good morning everyone,
Thinking of heading up to Clear Lake the first week of March. How's the fishing during that time of year? I'm sure it'll mostly be weather dependent but if you could shed a little light on expectations, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Depends on how much rain we get. We didnt get enough in 2018 to fill the lake.Most years in March is when the swimbait bite is on. Should be able to catch fish on rip baits , lipless, a-rigs,jigs etc. Fish start spawning end of March. I would plan on fishing during the week if possible. Tournaments almost every weekend.
First week in March can be real good.Most of the guides use minnows that time of year and that can be a lot of fun!
I would plan on staying in the north end in March.
