Anxious to hear these responses. Also, when do you use a jigging spoon versus a flutter spoon?

Interested as well. Toledo town on the bend had a local making some that were awesome but haven’t been able to find them in about 3 yrs. they were no more than about 2” long hammered flat slab spoons but they caught fish like crazy

I need some spoons for smallmouth, I have some Forest Miu but I'm not sure how great they will work for jigging.

War eagle 1/2 oz is a good basic jigging spoon that works and has decent hooks . The cotton Cordell is the same spoon with cheap hooks. Best to go up a hook size or two for better hookups. The bass pro jumpin jigit is another good profile the works, cabelas and academy has one with a similar profile.

Any good treble hook will work, . The reason is I loose less fish with the larger hooks.

I use the jigging spoons in deep floating marina docks and when I find schools suspended in 15 to 30 + ft of water. Also use it during the winter when fish suspend off the bottom. It's a reaction bait , it triggers strikes.
