Really enjoyed the tournament, however the boat show was a joke IMO. Basscat winners were the only 2 basscats there, Champion boats was a diff story. Last year they judged on year, upgrades, and boat stuff. This year you got counted off for it not matching your truck? lol. Every Champion there was 2000-newer except 1-1989 & my 1987 (oldest one there) Not to come off crazy but the 1987 had newest electronics, carpet, seats, motor( didn't even ask assumed it was 87?, its new with 20 hours just under original cowl, decals, jackplate, troll motor, and on and on. I think one judge wasn't even born when mine was made lol. Anyway just venting I guess. Maybe in future they'll have a Classic Champion Division lol

Mark, I change what the boats are judged on every single year so new winners can have a chance. The were no deductions for your boat not matching your truck. You got one bonus point if it did. The winning scores were around 100 so that wasn't going to make a huge difference. Different judges are picked every year as well. Everyone has different taste and opinions so changing judges puts a new perspective on the judging. I've spent a lot of time and plenty of my own money trying to attract more boats. We began the draw prize last year and got more donations for draw prizes this year as well. Everyone who entered the boat show was given some type of draw prize. I'm sorry you felt it was not good. Discussion has already began on ideas for next year. You are more than welcome to take over the boat show and put up the draw prize money if you would like. And as I told you at the boat show, I was born well before your boat was made. My kids are in high school sir. God just graced me with a young face and my gray hair was hidden under a cap. Also, I have no control how many BassCats show up. And the classic division would have only had two boats if their was a division. Thanks for the feedback and hopefully you will enjoy it next year.

    I’d like to suggest a
    "Bass & Bay" category.
    Best wiring category
And lastly a Newest seats category.

That's a good idea, say 20 years and older?

We may do that if we can get enough in a date range that makes sense.

My boat is a 95 171 DC . All the boats at the show looked great . It was a pleasure just to see all those Champions together.
