    G3 Sportsman 1810 vs. Ranger rt188

    Hi guys, new here!

In the market for a 19 foot aluminum bass rig preferably not much over 25k if any. Looks like it’s down to these 2. Opinions please.

Does the motor option matter to you? I think you can only get the G3 with a Yamaha. Though the F115 Yamaha is super reliable. Personally I’d go with the Ranger as it appears to have better storage. Especially rod storage

Thanks, and not really as long as it’s least a 90hp. I’ve heard nothing but good things about those Yamaha 115s.

My buddies dad has a 115 Yamaha on his pontoon and a 90 on his fishing boat and they have never had problems with either. He doesn’t take care of his stuff the best either

I have a G3 1810 on order that should be here any day. Full report when I get it. Wouldn’t consider running anything but a Yamaha!

If you don’t mind me asking, what are the standard features, and out the door stock price on the 1810? I’ve seen different things online.

Never ridden in the 1810 but I have an RT188 and love it. Powered by the Evinrude 115 and with me and a buddy, both large guys, get up to around 45 which is fine for me, and it sips fuel. Plenty spacious boat and very stable and easy to fish off of. Was considering other boats but have no regrets on getting mine.

Repost in the "tin boat" section, and you'll get lots of opinions.

IMO run fast from G3, the one I had was junk and the company doesn't stand behind their products at all.

Guy in my club just got a 17 foot G3. It's got a huge livewell, which most smaller bass boats do not have...plus it comes with a Yamaha 4 stroke.

I have a good friend of mine that just bought a 17' G3 in April. It has the 90hp Yamato 4 stroke. He just put it on Craigslist two days ago. Blue and silver. Very stable boat. I was impressed with it, since both of us are right at 300 lb. He has only got 17 hours on motor.

Just like G-String said, you can buy my 2018 G3 sportsman 17 with a 90hp and a power pole for $22k. Less than 20 hours on the boat.
